Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2020 and consequently not to take any coercive steps with regard to the petitioner's property situated at "Anusuya Mandapam", Little Mount, Saidapet, Chennai.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to dispose of their representation dated 20.06.2020.
4. According to the petitioner, there are 300 families, who are doing washing of clothes (laundry work) nearby Koovam river at Saidapet for the past 45 years and that one Anusuya Mandapam was put up in the year 1952 for the purpose of washing the clothes. It is their further case that the fourth respondent office was put up in a building nearby to the said Mandapam. The apprehension of the petitioner is that the fourth respondent, by establishing their office, will also take the Mandapam for their use. Therefore, they made a representation on 20.06.2020 to the respondents not to disturb the said Mandapam from their use. It is stated that the said representation has not been considered so far.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents, more particularly, the second and third respondents to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of, only by directing the second and third respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.06.2020 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if the appeal is not disposed of so far.
