ORDER

The petition has been seeking to quash the proceeding dt.13.03.2026 issued by the 1st respondent and direct the respondent to Restore the

proceedings No.G2/ 5578 Dt.13.03.2026 issued by the 1st respondent transferring the petitioner from Thriuvarur to Karur.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed as Driver on 02.03.2009 by the first respondent and his family resides at Musiri, Trichy District. He posted in Thiruvarur which is approximately 200 Kilometres away. On 10.03.2026, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking transfer to Karur on medical grounds. The first respondent, on 12.03.2026, issued transfer order to the petitioner transferring him to the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Labour, Karur. However, the first respondent abruptly cancelled the said transfer order on the very next day itself citing administrative reasons vide proceedings dated 13.03.2026, which is challenged in the writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may permit the petitioner to make a fresh representation for transfer without affecting any person in the vacant post nearby Musiri.

4. In view of the above, this Court, without interfering with the impugned order, permits the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondents for transferring him to Musiri within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such representation, the

respondent shall pass orders if there is any vacant place available, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are ordered. 07-04-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order RLI To
