..Respondent(s) PRAYER: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the Petitioner's Representation dated 18.02.2026 to sanction and pay the professional fees for 233 cases appeared on behalf of the Government Tamil Nadu in District Munsif Court and Sub Court, Gudiyattam from 2010 to 2022 for a total sum of Rs.13,98,000/- (Rupees Thirteen Lakhs and Ninety eight Thousand only) as per the official Memorandum issued by the Learned District Munsif, Gudiyattam in Dis.No. 74/2026 dated 28.01.2026 certifying 233 cases within a stipulated time.

ORDER
The petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the Petitioner's Representation dated 18.02.2026 to sanction and pay the professional fees for 233 cases appeared on behalf of the Government. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that he appeared for more than 234 cases from the year 2010 to 2022 as a Pleader for Government cases and was not paid the legal fees. Though the petitioner made representation before the first respondent, he was not paid till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the materials available on records.
4. It is seen that the 1st respondent, vide letter dated 30.05.2025 had requested the petitioner to obtain certified copies of the bill from the court which was also obtained by the petitioner, vide Official Memorandum of the District Munsif, Gudiyattam dated 28.01.2026 certifying that he has appeared in 233 cases.
5. Since the legal fee for which the petitioner is entitled to has not been paid for no fault of the petitioner, the petitioner is entitled to the same. Therefore, the Writ petition is allowed as prayed for and a mandamus is issued directing the respondents to disburse the eligible fees that is payable to the petitioner on or before 28.04.2026.
