Mr.V.Prabhu, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the second respondent to complete the enquiry and pass final orders in respect of the proceedings vide Na.Ka.No.3046/2016/A2 dated Nil.08.2016 initiated to carry out the corrections in the Revenue records, particularly, the patta bearing No.421, for the land situated in Plot No.17, Sri Ganapathy Nagar Colony, 2A Layout, comprised in Punjai Survey No.129/3 Part, Panankottur Village, Maraimalai Nagar Town Limits, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District, measuring to an extent of 2700 sq.ft

3. It seems that the petitioner has approached the Tahsildar, Chengalpattu, for correcting some mistakes alleged to have taken place in the computerised patta. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the enquiry is sought to be conducted on 09.09.2016, till this date, the Tahsildar, has not completed the enquiry and passed any orders. Hence, the petitioner approached this Court and filed the present writ petition.

5. This Court at this stage is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to complete the enquiry and pass orders on the claim made by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
