O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the 1st respondent to re-issue the Passport to the petitioner by processing the application bearing Ref.No.23-1013608243.

It is not in dispute between the parties that a criminal case against the petitioner is pending on file of the Judicial Magistrate, Pollachi. 3.

Mr.G.Baskaran, the learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the 1st respondent would submit that the trial has already commenced and two witnesses are examined and one more witness is yet to be examined. Therefore, the writ petition is to be rejected. 4.

Mr.S.Vinothkumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that the petitioner has to approach the jurisdictional Criminal Court for the purpose of seeking permission by producing all necessary details.

This being the principles to be followed, the petitioner is at Page No.2 of 4

liberty to approach the jurisdictional Criminal Court for the purpose of reissuance of Passport by following the procedures as contemplated. 6.

With this liberty, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
