ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to conduct a proper enquiry and to come to the conclusion as to who the legal heirs are and issue Legal Heir Certificate in favour of the petitioner and her two daughters based on her representation dated 03.11.2025.

2. Mr.Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. Since, no adverse order is being passed against the 4th respondent, notice to the 4th respondent is dispensed with.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband namely Muniyappan died on 11.04.2025 due to health issue. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 03.11.2025 to the respondents seeking issuance of legal heirship certificate in respect of her deceased husband. However, till date, the said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 seeking issuance of legal heirship certificate in respect of her deceased husband and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties including the rival claimants, if any.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
