O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.07.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 420, 467, 468 and 471 IPC, in Crime No.4 of 2020, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution as per the Village Administrative Officer (VAO) is that the petitioner had fabricated the possession certificate in the name of one Karuppa Gounder and based on the said certificate, he had executed a settlement deed in favour of his son Thirumoorthy in D.No.2748 of 2020 dated 17.07.2020.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that till date the beneficiary of the document or his son, who have executed the settlement deed have not been arrested by the respondent police. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner is running a Xerox and Computer Centre near Tahsildar Office in the name and style of Rams Computers and by fabrication, prepared a possession certificate as if the same was prepared by the Tahsildar. executed a settlement deed in their favour. He would further submit that the petitioner was arrested very recently on 21.07.2020 and they have to secure other accused also in this case. He would further submit that the investigation is in preliminary stage, hence, he vehemently opposes for the grant of bail to the petitioner.
5.Taking into consideration of the fact that the investigation is in preliminary stage and the respondent police have to secure other accused and the arrest being very recent, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present.
6.This Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
