(Order of the Court was made by T.RAJA,J.) This WMP. has been filed by the Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City seeking deletion of his name from the cause title of the above writ petition on the premise that he was not a party before the Tamil Nadu State Human Rights Commission and when no direction has been given by the State Human Rights Commission against him/3rd respondent, he is only an unnecessary party. 2.

A perusal of the impugned order passed by the State Human Rights Commission, Tamil Nadu in SHRC Case No.8162/2018 dated 20.12.2021 reveals that a direction was given to the Government of Tamil Nadu to pay a compensation of Rs.5,00,000/- to the complainant Thiru S.Periyasamy within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of the recommendation and also recover Rs.2,00,000/- from the 1st respondent therein and Rs.50,000/- each from the respondents 2 to 5 therein and Rs.1,00,000/- from the 6th respondent therein/writ petitioner as per the Rules.

Therefore, since there was no direction whatsoever given to the petitioner herein as 3rd respondent in the writ petition in the impugned order, the deletion of the petitioner herein as 3rd respondent in the writ petition needs acceptance and accordingly, the name of the petitioner herein/3rd respondent in the Writ Petition is deleted from the array of parties.
