PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass order on the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2016 by taking action to convert the residence of the Former Chief Minister Selvi J.Jayalalitha situate at Door No.81, Veda Nilayam, Poes Garden, Chennai-86 into Memorial House for her within a stipulated time.

(Order of the Court was made by the Huluvadi G.Ramesh,J.) The petitioner has filed this petition, styled as public interest litigation, seeking a direction against the first respondent to consider and pass orders on his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 09.12.2016 by taking action to convert the residence of the Former Chief Minister Selvi J.Jayalalitha situate at Door No.81, Veda Nilayam, Poes Garden, Chennai-86 into Memorial House.

2. It appears that seeking identical relief W.P.(MD) No.599 of 2017 was filed before the Madurai Bench of this Court and by order dated 12.1.2017, the said writ petition was dismissed as not maintainable.

3. In view of the above, nothing remains to be reconsidered in the present writ petition.

The petition is dismissed. No costs.
