ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to produce the body or person of petitioners daughter Pooja, aged about 19 years, who is under the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent, before this Court and set her at liberty forthwith.

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Pooja, aged about 19 years, went missing from 14.04.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thiruthuraipoondi Police Station Crime No.567 of 2021 under Section 366 IPC was registered on 24.04.2021 and investigation is in progress.
Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thiruthuraipoondi Sub-Division, to monitor the investigation in Thiruthuraipoondi Police Station Crime No.567 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Pooja, aged about 19 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Thiruthuraipoondi, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody in accordance with law.
