This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to alter FIR under proper section in Crime No.22 of 2023.

2. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner and as such, this Court is inclined to pass orders on merits. Perused the materials available on record.

3. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered an FIR in Crime No.22 of 2023 under the caption "Girl Missing". So far, there has been no progress in the investigation, since the girl is still missing and there are no clues to trace her. In fact, the petitioner had also filed HCP No.473 of 2023 and the same was disposed of with direction. Therefore, if the girl is found and her statement is recorded and if any cognizable offence has made out, the FIR will be altered with proper offence.

4. In view of the above, the direction sought for in this petition 2/4

cannot be considered. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
