PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioners in connection with the Petition/Complaint given by their daughter-in-law.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioners in the name of enquiry.

2. Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondents.

3. It is also seen that the petitioners have been called for an enquiry with regard to a matrimonial dispute between the defacto complainant/daughter-in-law and the son of the petitioners. The defacto complainant filed a petition for divorce before the Family Court, Chennai to dissolve the marriage.

4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

be a direction to the third respondent to conduct an enquiry and take further action in accordance with law. It is made clear that if the third respondent finds that it is a matrimonial dispute, the third respondent police shall relegate the parties to approach the appropriate Family Court.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
