..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider petitioner's applications dated 02.01.2020 and 12.09.2022 and grant him LGR patta with respect to the house site in RS.No. 2/84 at Thirubhuvanai Revenue Village, Villianur Taluk, Pondicherry within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to grant the petitioner LGR patta for the house site morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition based on the petitioner's applications dated 02.01.2020 and 12.09.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this Writ Petition in support of the petitioner's applications seeking for grant of LGR patta. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the same. 3.Mr.J.Kumaran, learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy), accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. On instructions, he would submit that there are rival claimants in respect of the very same property for which LGR patta is sought for by the petitioner. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's applications are considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and also after hearing all the rival claimants within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's applications dated 02.01.2020 and 12.09.2022, seeking for grant of LGR patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the rival claimants within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The 2nd respondent shall also afford opportunity of one personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants before passing the final order.
