O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the Commissioner of Police Chennai, the first respondent herein to assign the enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.06.2013 to some other police official than the second respondent herein and to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.06.2013 and to proceed in accordance with law and subsequently, to file a detailed report before this Court on the course of action taken.

2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint as against one Vetriselvan on the allegation of forging the signature on the cheques.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint sent by the petitioner to the first respondent was assigned C.No.9933/COP Visitors/2013 and the same was forwarded to the second respondent to conduct a detailed enquiry. On completion of detailed enquiry on the complaint of the petitioner dated 18.06.2013, the second respondent found that there was a dispute between the partners in a partnership firm and the said complaint was closed on 04.10.2014.

4. Since the complaint lodged by the petitioner was closed, this Court is of the opinion that nothing survives in this petition. Hence, the criminal original petition is dismissed.
