ORDER
By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents 1
and 2 to direct the 3rd respondent to assume charge and manage the Mandi Mohalla Jumma Masjid, Villupuram Wakf properly in compliance to the order of the 1st respondent dated 22.08.2025 in RC No.11650/14/ B10/ VPM as notified in the office gazette dated 22.10.25 as sought vide representation dated 18.02.206
3. It is the case of the petitioner that Mandi Mohalla Jumma Masjid, Villupuram is registered and under the control of Tamil Nadu Wakf Board. The petitioner sought for direct management to streamline the affairs of the Wakf, thereafter after conducting enquiry, the Wakf Board vide order dated 22.08.2025 ordered direct assumption and appointed the third respondent as the Executive Officer. It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite the order dated 22.08.2025, the third respondent could not assume charge and the entire administration has come to standstill, hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 18.02.2026 seeking for assuming charge and discharge the duties of the EO of the above wakf, however, the same is pending without consideration. Hence, this writ petition.
4. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a
copy of this Order.
