Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 11.12.2023 and follow-up representation dated 28.02.2024 and notify the petitioners on the amount of compensation that the petitioners are eligible for with immediate effect. This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to notify them the quantum of compensation they are eligible, by considering their representations dated 11.12.2023 and 28.02.2024

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The grievance of the petitioners is that though their land has been notified in the proposal for acquisition, for expansion of runway of the Coimbatore Airport and the same has not been acquired so far. 2/4

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioners land which is under mortgage has been acquired and final orders will be passed within a reasonable time.

5. In such view of the matter, let the respondents 2 to 4 shall expedite the issue and pass orders on merits.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
