Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the 1st respondent Police to transfer the investigation of the case pending in Crime No.153
of 2025 from the file of the 4th respondent Police to some other law enforcing agency and also simultaneously direct to expedite the investigation of the case pending in Crime No.153 of 2025 and the complete the investigation within a stipulated time-limit as deem fit by this Court.

O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking transfer of the investigation in Crime No.153 of 2025 from the file of the fourth respondent to any other investigating agency.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. It is seen that the petitioner fell in love with one Induja and they got married on 02.02.2025. Thereafter, after 18 days from the date of their marriage, she went missing. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint, which was registered as Crime No.153 of 2025 under the category of "Woman Missing" on the file of the fourth respondent and the investigation is still pending.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even after 10 days of lodging the complaint, the fourth respondent registered an FIR without even conducting any enquiry and has simply kept the matter pending.
5. On instruction, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents Police submitted the though the petitioner's wife married him, she later eloped with another person and even wrote a letter to that effect. However, the investigation is still pending.
6. In view of the above, this Court finds no ground to transfer the investigation from the file of the fourth respondent to any other investigating agency. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. However, the fourth respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
