ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had filed the writ petition challenging the demand raised by the ESI Corporation under Section 45(C) to 45(I) of the ESI Act. However, during the pendency of the writ petition, a sum of Rs.1,95,000/- has been paid and no dues remain outstanding. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication and the writ petition may be closed.

2. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is closed. However, if the said demand amount has not been paid, liberty is granted to the respondent to take action in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
