Ms.C.Meera Arumugam,AGP For R1, 2 & 4 Mr.U.Baranidhran, SGP for R3 Notice dispensed with for R5 to 10 Order This writ petition has been filed to direct respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate action filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and cancel the settlement deeds and sale deed, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. 2.The petitioner is aged 72 years. The petitioner seeks for cancellation of the Settlement Deeds and sale deed through his application filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. 3.Ms.C.Meera Arumugam, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1, 2 and 4. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the third respondent. Since no order is being passed against respondents 5 to 10, notice to respondents 5 to 10 is dispensed with by this Court.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 against respondents 5 to 10, on merits and in accordance with law, after conducting a proper enquiry and by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application.

6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation/application dated 09.02.2026 filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 against respondents 5 to 10, on merits and in accordance with law by conducting a proper enquiry and by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
