ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the FIR in Crime No.399 of 2012 pending on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.

2. The case of the petitioners is that on the basis of the complaint lodged by one V.Ramasamy, a case in Crime No.399 of 2012 was registered against them for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 147, 447, 506(ii) IPC and Section 3(1) of PPD Act, 1992. Though the complaint was registered on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

01.05.2012, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the petitioners have come up with the present petition to quash the FIR registered against them.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in Crime No.399/2012, investigation has already been completed. Hence, learned Additional Public Prosecutor seeks time for filing the final report before the Court concerned.

4. The said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded. The first respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.399 of 2012 pending on his file and file a final report, if not filed earlier, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
