By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the sole respondent.

2.The petitioner was formerly Village Administrative Officer, Kaniyanur Village holding additional charge of Kalavai Village. While he was working as Village Administrative Officer, was placed under suspension by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranipet vide proceedings dated 30.07.2013 and by a subsequent proceedings dated 31.07.2013, his services were retained beyond the age of superannuation on 31.07.2013. The petitioner was also visited with disciplinary proceedings in T.D.P.No.3E/2016, which is pending on the file of the respondent. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is now aged about 62 years and suffering due to very many ailments and therefore, prays for early conclusion of the said disciplinary proceedings.

4.This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

5.This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, permits the petitioner to submit his written statement of defence, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and upon receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to consider the disciplinary proceedings, in accordance with law and also in compliance of the principles of natural justice and thereafter, conclude the proceedings and pass final orders, within a further period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
