O R D E R

The Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned IV Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to dispose of O.S. No. 5186 of 2013.

2. Before giving any such direction, this Court had called for a report from the learned IV Assistant Judge, City Civil Court with respect to the progress in O.S. No. 5186 of 2013 and also indicating the time limit within which he / she proposes to dispose of the said Suit. Nevertheless, the Registry has put a note stating that the report had not been received.

3. Heard the learned Advocate General on behalf of the petitioner / defendant and Ms.Kannammai, learned counsel for the respondent / plaintiff.

4. The suit is now posted for arguments.

5. A direction is therefore given to the learned IV Assistant Judge, City Civil Court to dispose of O.S. No. 5186 of 2013 on or before 17.09.2021. Both the plaintiff and the defendant may also file written arguments and if that is done, the learned Judge may dispose of the suit on a much earlier date.

6. With the said observation, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
