Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue a legal heir ship certificate to the petitioner on the death of the petitioner's mother Tmt.Karthi on 02.06.2017 on the basis of the representation/application submitted on 06.02.2021 (sent through registered post acknowledgment due on 08.02.2021). ORDER
The present petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to issue a legal heir ship certificate to the petitioner, on the death of her mother Karthi, on the basis of the representation/application submitted by her on 06.02.2021.

According to the petitioner, she and her brother are the children of one D.Srinivasan and S.Karthi. While so, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
their mother passed away on 02.06.2017 and a death certificate was also obtained for the same on 05.06.2017. Subsequently, the petitioner's brother Murali also passed away on 20.11.2020 leaving behind his wife Srividhya and two daughters. Thereafter, on 06.02.2021, the petitioner applied for legal heir certificate of her mother to the respondents stating that her father, herself and legal heirs of the deceased brother are the surviving legal heirs. Though the said application was received on 08.02.2021, the respondents did not take any steps to process the same, till date. Therefore, this writ petition. 3.
Heard both sides. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this court, without going into merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 06.02.2021 with regard to issuance of legal heir certificate of her deceased mother, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.
With the above said direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
