O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondent to provide necessary and adequate police protection to the petitioner in view of the Apex Court Judgment in the case of Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. reported in 2006(5) SCC Page No.475.

2.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner was studying B.Sc. Nursing - II year and on account of love affair with one Mr.Prakash, belonging to other community, there was a life threat to the writ petitioner. The writ petitioner left /eloped with the said Mr.Prakash from her parents house and without the consent of her parents on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

18.05.2014. Taking revenge against the writ petitioner, the relatives and the parents of the writ petitioner were chasing with an intention to harass.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the first respondent made a submission that adequate police protection was given to the writ petitioner on 31.08.2015 and further, the writ petitioner and the said Mr.Prakash got married and they are living separately. Now, after this length of time, no further action is required. In view of the fact that the grievances of the writ petitioner have already been redressed by providing protection, if the petitioner faces any other threat or otherwise then she may approach the appropriate authority and file a complaint if necessary and in the event of any complaint from the writ petitioner the authority competent may take all further action if required and in accordance with law.

4.In this view of the matter the relief sought for in this writ petition had been granted to the writ petitioner on 31.08.2015 itself and no further adjudication is required in this writ petition.

5.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, there is no order as to costs.
