Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent authority to give permission to conduct Cultural Programme (Adal Padal) in the event of Pattipulamkuppam Arulmigu Sree Nagalamman and Sengalaniamman Temple Festival at Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District on 15.09.2018 between 6.00 p.m., to 11.00 p.m., by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2018.

O R D E R

Seeking permission to conduct cultural programme in the Pattipulamkuppam Arulmigu Sree Nagalamman and Sengalaniamman Temple Festival at Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District on 15.09.2018, the petitioner addressed a representation dated 29.08.2018 to the respondent. As the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent seriously objected the relief sought for in this writ petition. According to him, there was a communal clash in the said area, in which, the petitioner was involved and F.I.R has also been registered against him.

3. In view of the submission so made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court is not inclined to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the cultural programme in the temple in question. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
