ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner/A2 apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 170, 171, 406, 419, 420 & 120 B of IPC, in Crime No.03 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein along with one Rohini@Rekha, who represented herself as Sub-Inspector of Police, had enticed the de facto complainant to secure a job in the Police department and made an offer to sell the theft vehicles which were lying in the Police Station for lower price. In order to secure the job and to purchase the theft vehicle, they had instructed the de facto complainant to deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,000/-, Rs.4,00,000/- and Rs.4,00,000/- respectively in the petitioner's bank account through RTGS. After receiving the money, they had failed to comply with their promise and when the de facto complainant asked for the return of money, the said Rohini had informed the de facto complainant that she had given the money to her Higher Authority. Upon repeated request by the de facto complainant, the said Rekha has issued two cheques for a sum of Rs.7,00,000/- each and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

promised that she will retrieve her cheque after repaying the money. As she had failed to comply the same, the complaint has been lodged.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that there are four previous cases pending against the petitioner and hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Taking into consideration the allegations and also the bad antecedent of the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner has committed a serious offence as against the general public, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
