ORDER

The copy of the status report has been filed by the respondent.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that with respect to the very same society contempt petitions were filed in Cont.P.No.4085 of 2024 and Cont.P.No.1457 of 2024. Insofar as Cont.P.No.4085 of 2024 is concerned, the following order was passed by this Court:

C.P.No.4085/2024 in W.P.No.18841/2024 order:

"2. On instructions, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that already the society, in which the petitioner was working, is under liquidation and no fund is available with the society to disburse the gratuity, employee provident fund and arrears of salary to the petitioner. The society has only the movable assets to the tune of Rs.1,37,400/-. Even then, the petitioner was paid a sum of Rs.50,000/- on 13.01.2025.

3. Considering the above submissions, no contempt is made out as against the respondent and the contempt petition stands dismissed."

3. Insofar as Cont.P.No.1457 of 2024 is concerned, the following order was passed by this Court:

"C.P.No.1457/2024 in W.P.No.23709 of 2023 order:

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is stated by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent that Rs.1,00,000/- has been paid to the petitioner and to pay the balance amount, there is no property available. He has further stated that the Society has already been liquidated.

3. In view of the above submission, this Contempt Petition is closed for the present. If the petitioner finds any other properties available in the name of the Society, she can revive the contempt. No costs."

4. This Court is able to understand the grievance expressed by the petitioner. However, the petitioner has to be treated on par with the other two petitioners, who had earlier filed contempt petitions before this Court.

5. The petitioner has been paid a total sum of Rs.25,000/- as settlement on 26.05.2025. According to the respondent, a balance amount of Rs.14,102/- alone is remaining in the liquidation account and no movable assets are available.

6. Except expressing regret for the situation faced by the petitioner, no further orders can be passed in this contempt petition, since the scope of the contempt is very limited.
