The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to issue Patta, after sub-dividing the Survey Numbers in S.Nos.126/38 and 159/2 in Sirumadurai Village, Thirukovilur Taluk, Villupuram District, based on his representation dated 20.02.2016.

2. Heard both sides.

Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the third respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.02.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
