This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the 2nd respondent to revoke the suspension order passed by the 1st respondent dated 01.08.2024 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2025."
2. The petitioner was working as a Special Tahsildar (LA) Dindivanam , Nagari , New Railway Project Unit - 2 at Walaja Ranipet District. The petitioner would submit that on 31.07.2024, a case in Crime No. 4 of 2024 under Section 7 (a) of the Prevision of Corruption Act was registered against him and on the same day he was arrested by the 2nd respondent. The petitioner would further submit that after 35 2/6
days of police custody, he was released on bail vide order in Crl.O.P.No.21641 of 2024 dated 04.09.2024.

The case of the petitioner is that immediately after his arrest, the 1st respondent passed an interim suspension order dated 01.08.2024 by exercising the power under Rule 17 of the Tamil Nadu Discipline and Appeal Rules, 1953. It is the further case of the petitioner that the 1st respondent has not revoked the same even after a lapse of seven months and further, no charge memo has been issued by the 1st respondent till date. Therefore, on 03.02.2025 the petitioner made a representation seeking to revoke the suspension order dated 01.08.2024. However, the 1st respondent has not revoked the same. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the 1st respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Today, it is informed by Mr. R.U.Dinesh Raj Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader that a charge memo has already been issued to the petitioner and the petitioner has to submit his explanation to the same.

5. Recording the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of. It is needless to state that within a period of 6 months from the date of explanation / objection submitted by the petitioner, the disciplinary proceedings shall be concluded. No costs.
