ORDER

Seeking directions to the respondents to issue new mark sheets for 10th and 12th grades by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2025, the present writ petition is filed.

2. The petitioner is currently pursuing B.Sc(Psychology) in SRM University, Chengalpattu. The petitioner states that she was given in adoption to her maternal aunt and her husband, by her parents, while she was studying in 8th standard. Later the petitioner's father died and the petitioner and her biological mother shifted to Qatar, where she completed her schooling from 4th to 11th standard in DPS Modern India School, Doha, under CBSE curriculum. According to the petitioner, the adoption was neither registered nor formally legalised and her biological mother continued to support her both financially and emotionally. While so, on completion of 10th & 12th standards, the petitioner was issued with Board examination certificates in the names of her adoptive parents.

3. The petitioner therefore submitted a representation to the respondents/authorities on 06.03.2025, seeking correction of parental details and for issuance of new mark sheets for her 10th and 12 grades. Since no action

was taken by the respondents, hence the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. In the course of arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if directions are issued to the 2nd respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2025, within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

6. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2025, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
