upon the request made by the petitioner on 24.07.2020, by email to the third respondent, in order to enable the fourth respondent College to accept the letter of discontinuation for the petitioner to join the clinical course namely M.S.General Surgery at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi and pass orders.

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the third respondent to extend the date for submitting the letter of discontinuation of the petitioner from the fourth respondent College in order to enable the petitioner to join the Dental College of his choice.
2.Mr.R.Bharani Dharan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the fourth respondent has already given the letter of discontinuation to the petitioner and the petitioner also participated in the selection conducted under the State quota and he has also joined another college. 3.Mr.Krishna Srinivas, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the fourth respondent submitted that the fourth respondent / College has already given the discontinuation letter on 31.07.2020 and all the original certificates were handed over to the petitioner.
4.Heard Mr.B.K.Girish Neelakantan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent, Mr.Akil Akbar Ali, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the second respondent and
Mr.Abdul Salim, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the third respondent.
5.Taking into consideration the subsequent event that has been taken place in the present case, this Court records the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the fourth respondent College. The petitioner has already received the discontinuation letter from the fourth respondent College along with all the original certificates and the petitioner has also secured a seat in Raja Muthaiah Medical College and Hospital affiliated to Annamalai University.
6.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
