PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus direction, more particularly a writ of nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 to 3 to review the approval accorded for the 4th respondent School for the academic year 2018 to 2019 on the basis of an impartial inspection to the School site and the Scrutiny of Certificates whatsoever having been submitted by the school management to the Respondents 1 to 3 herein for getting approval/renewal of approval for the academic year 2018-2019.

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to review the approval accorded for the 4th respondent school for the academic year 2018-2019 on the basis of an impartial inspection to the School site and the Scrutiny of Certificates whatsoever having been submitted by the school management to the Respondents 1 to 3 herein for getting approval/renewal of approval for the academic year 2018-2019.

2. The petitioner's father and one late Mahalingam who is the father of the correspondent of the 4th respondent school have entered into a rental agreement in the respect of the property situated at No.2 Jeeva Main Street, Kannadpalayam, Puzhl, Chennai-600066 for the purpose of running a school. However, instead of constructing pucca houses, only two thatched huts were constructed in the above property for conducting a nursery school in the name of "Sri Saravan Vidhyalaya Nursery and Primary School". On coming to know the fact that the said property was grabbed from the petitioner's father under the guise of conducting the school, the petitioner made a representation dated 02.03.2018 to the respondents 1 to 3 requesting to cause an inspection as to the violation of the statutory norms prescribed in the code of Regulations for Nursery and Primary schools. Since, the same was not considered by the official respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that pursuant to the petitioner's representation, the respondent authorities have conducted an inspection in the 4th respondent school and passed an order, pursuant to which, the 4th respondent school was closed and no students are being admitted therein. 4. Recording the same, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. Hence, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 17.03.2023 Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes NHS Page No:4/6
