(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor assisted by Mr.M.Sylvester John, learned counsel accepts notice for the respondents and has received instructions in full. Hence, by consent of both learned counsel, this Writ Petition is disposed finally even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondents to consider her father's representation dated 31.12.2025 and also her representation dated 16.3.2026 for pre-mature release of her father, G.Arumugam S/o Govindasamy, a life convict, aged 62 years, presently confined in Central Prison, Vellore, on medical grounds.

3. Mr.Muniyapparaj states that having regard to the medical grounds urged, the representations will be disposed by the respondents in accordance with the extant rules, within a period of eight (8) weeks.

4. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ Petition is disposed directing R1 to dispose representations dated 31.12.2025 and 16.03.2026 in accordance with the extant regulations, within a period of eight (8) weeks from today and communicate the order to the petitioner.
