Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus, Directing the Respondents to grant one month ordinary leave from 14.08.2020 to 14.09.2020 to the petitioner's husband life convict, Babu @ Umai Babu, son of Yusuf, CT.No.17147, now confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore.

O R D E R

(Order of the court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN,J.) The matter is heard through "Video Conferencing". 2.This petition has been filed by the wife of the convict seeking one month ordinary leave for the Convict to celebrate the betrothal function of the petitioner's son. 3.Heard Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

4.Considering the fact that it is only a betrothal function of the petitioner's son, this Court is inclined to grant only 10 days of ordinary leave for the petitioner's husband i.e. from 21.08.2020 to 31.08.2020.

5.Therefore, the petitioner's husband, viz., Babu @ Umai Babu, CT.No.17147, now confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore, is granted parole for a period of 10 days from 21.08.2020 to 31.08.2020 and he has to return back to Central Prison, Coimbatore on 31.08.2020 at 05.00 P.M. Accordingly, this petition is allowed.
