O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur, to complete the trial in C.C.No.08 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible. 2.The petitioner got married with one Rajkumar on 09.03.2014 and it was an arranged marriage. All the marriage expenses were borne by the petitioner's parents and they gave more than 15 sovereigns of gold jewels and also all the household items on her marriage. But, according to the petitioner, her husband was not interested in the marital relationship and also avoided her. While so, the in-laws also tortured her to bring additional dowry from her parents. Thereafter, she was left in her parental house and till now she is living in her parental house. All her jeweleries and house hold items given during the marriage are lying in the custody of her husband.

When the family elders spoke to her in-laws for reunion, that was denied by them. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent police and the same was registered after the direction of this Court in Crime No.3 of 2018 and also filed a final report in C.C.No.08 of 2019 before the learned Judicial https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the trial proceedings is dragging on. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner due to pendency of this case, great hardship is caused to the petitioner and seeks for early disposal of the case.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that C.C.No.08 of 2019 is pending before the Court below. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) further would submit that the case is posted on 17.05.2019.

5.Considering the nature of allegations, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur, to dispose of the C.C.No.08 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible and in any event, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner as well as the prosecution are directed to co-operate with the Court below in completing the proceedings within the time stipulated by this Court.

6.This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
