The petitioner herein seeks police protection on the ground that the private respondents are constantly threatening life and property of the petitioner. 2.

According to the petitioner, on 29.12.2022 the private respondents trespassed into his land and made two coconut trees to fell down, inspite of the decree passed by the competent Civil Court in his favour. Though the police has registered C.S.R.No.688 of 2022, no action has been taken by the police on the complaint dated 29.12.2022. Hence, apprehending danger at the hands of the private respondents, this petition is taken out to give police protection to the petitioner.

3.

This Court, on perusing the records, finds that there is no specific incident stated after the complaint dated 29.12.2022 for providing any police Page No.2/4

protection. However, it appears that the police has not properly acted upon the complaint, dated 29.12.2022, which was registered in C.S.R.No.688 of 2022. Hence, it is directed to the respondent police to register First Information Report and conduct enquiry on the complaint dated 29.12.2022. If any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police to file final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 03.11.2023 Index :Yes/No.
