2. It is relevant to extract paragraph 7 & 8 of the counter affidavit which reads as follows:- "I further submit that the candidates from Malayalam medium are being selected only for teaching in the schools which has Malayalam as medium of instruction in the state. As far as the current position is concerned there are no vacancies available for the appointment in Malayalam medium schools.

I further submit that since the petitioner does not have adequate Tamil language knowledge, hence she cannot teach in Tamil medium schools for which vacancies are available. Due to this practical disability she cannot be presently given appointment even though she has scored eligible marks. Further the petitioner is not at prejudice as the score which she had obtained shall be considered valid for seven years hence in future if any requirement arises in Malayalam medium schools she would be given appointment based on merit".
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it is sufficient to record the aforesaid statements made in the counter and dispose of the writ petition.
4. While recording the above averments made in the counter affidavit, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, Connected Miscellecous Petitioners closed.
