This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent and to take immediate and appropriate action to complete the investigation and dispose the matter.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of the property in Reddy Street, Sriperumbudur and now residing in Chennai. While things stood thus, he came to know that few land grabbers in connivance with the revenue official had maliciously and fraudulently changed the patta on the basis of bogus document. Hence, in this regard, the petitioner has given petition to conduct enquiry and the enquiry is also pending before the first respondent. However, no steps have been taken.
3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.
4. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the first respondent to conduct enquiry on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner and dispose of the same by passing appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 2/4
