When the matter came up for hearing today, the second respondent/defacto complainant is personally present before this Court and produced her Voter ID bearing No.SRB0833822. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the second respondent and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending proceedings in C.C.No.3892 of 2012 on the file of the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, the second respondent/de-facto complainant and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue among themselves and the de-facto complainant https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
has also filed an affidavit dated 17.01.2018 stating that she has no objection if the proceedings in C.C.No.3892 of 2012 on the file of the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore is quashed.
4.Recording the statements made in the Memorandum of Understanding dated 23.11.2017 and the submissions made by the defacto complainant in the affidavit filed by her dated 17.01.2018, the entire proceedings in C.C.No.3892 of 2012 on the file of the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
