ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner expect by due process of law.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3.The essence of the case is that the petitioner is a Political Personal Assistant of former Labour Welfare Mininster, who was elected in the year 2016. Against him 108 persons have given complaints stating that the petitioner had taken money on the representation that he would be getting jobs in various departments of the Government. One Jagadeeswaran has given a complaint stating that the petitioner received a sum of Rs.5 Lakhs from him for getting job in a ration shop. 4.The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner being a political personal assistant to the Former Minister had

only acted as per the directions and instructions of the said Minister and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Moreover, he had also given a complaint on 03.05.2021, against the Minister and her relatives. The respondent/police instead of taking action on his complaint, on the other hand, called the petitioner for enquiry unnecessarily and he is being harassed. 5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the complaint against the petitioner by one Jagadeeswaran was verified and hence the petitioner was called for enquiry. He would further submit that the case is now pending enquiry by the District Crime Branch, Thirupattur. The enquiry is being conducted by a police official in the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police. The petitioner's complaint has been addressed to the Director General of Police. The complaint is now forwarded by Director General of Police. The complaint given by the petitioner is also being enquired. The petitioner is only called for enquiry to verify the contents of the complaint made by him.

6.In view of the specific complaint against the petitioner and also the complaint lodged by the petitioner against the Former Minister and both complaints are being enquired by the Deputy Superintendent of Police. After enquiry, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, to take appropriate action, on the basis of the out come of the enquiry.

7.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
