Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to both the G.O.(Ms)No.90, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election) Department, dated 28.06.2011 on the file of the 1st respondent in so far as regarding the 6th Respondent Municipality is concerned and also the consequential Resolution No.62 of the 6th respondent Council dated 15.07.2011 and to quash the same as illegal and also direct the 6th respondent to publish the copies of electoral rolls and polling stations of the said New Ward No.15 as it stood before passing the impugned proceedings in the light of the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats, Third Grade Municipalities, Municipalities and Corporations (Election) Rules, 2006 for all the Local Body Elections for the 6th Respondent Municipality scheduled to be held hereafter.
