Respondent(s) PRAYER Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to direct the seeking to call for the entire records pertaining to the impugned FIR filed in Crime No.1144 of 2020 dated 12.08.2020 on the file of the first respondent police and to quash the same as illegal and also to direct the first respondent to issue a clear police verification report to the petitioner regarding his passport. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus seeking to call for the entire records pertaining to the impugned FIR filed under Crime No.1144 of 2020 dated 12.08.2020 on the file of the first respondent police and to quash the same as illegal and also to direct the first respondent to issue a clear police verification report to the petitioner regarding his passport. 2/6

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent- Police and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is noway connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Though the alleged incident occurred in the year 2020, the respondent-Police has not filed the charge sheet so far. Hence, he prayed for quashing the F.I.R in Crime No.1144 of 2020.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-Police submitted that investigation has been completed and charge sheet has also been filed on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudachalam vide E-filing No.LTN20220002424/C202500524 on 01.06.2025. The petitioner has been arrayed A-30.

5. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
