Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of certiorarified mandamus, to call for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent in connection with the order passed by him dt 6.4.2015 in Na. Ka. No. 4538/A2/2014 and quash the same and direct the respondents to grant licence to vend the stamp to the petitioner in Arakkonam Town.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner would state that the she was working as the Manager in Arakkonam Town Co-operative Bank and attained the age of superannuation on 30.05.2007 and on coming to know that the 2nd respondent has invited application for appointment of Stamp Vendor for Arakkonam Town, has submitted an application dated 05.01.2014 to the 2nd respondent after complying with all procedural formalities and it was given disposal on 06.04.2015, rejecting the same. The petitioner challenging the legality of the order of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

rejection dated 06.04.2015, passed by the 2nd respondent filed an appeal to the 1st respondent on 16.06.2015 and since, it has not been given a disposal and in the interregnum, efforts are being taken to fill up the post of Stamp Vendor, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

4. Though, the petitioner prayed for a larger relief for quashment of the order passed by the 2nd respondent, this Court, taking note that this petitioner has preferred an appeal to the 1st respondent, is of the view that it is suffice to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal, preferred by the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

5. In the result, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the appeal petition dated 16.06.2015 preferred by the petitioner, in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. No Costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
