ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to quash the refusal check slip No.RFL/Pochampalli/1/2024 dated 24.01.2024 of the respondent and consequently direct the respondent to register the rectification deed dated 22.12.2023 submitted by the petitioner in favour of his wife in respect of S.No.501/4A1A ICI of Jambukuttapatti Village, Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

4. The respondent has refused to register the rectification deed on the ground that the survey number differs. It is the contention of the petitioner that when he presented rectification deed for registration, the same has been refused to be registered stating that the sub division number is wrongly mentioned in the document. The petitioner has also produced the certificate of the Village 2/4

Administrator wherein the survey number has been mentioned. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. In such view of the matter, when the petitioner has produced the certificate of the Village Administrative Officer to prove his possession, the respondent cannot go into the title and refuse to register the document produced by the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed and impugned refusal slip No.RFL/Pochampalli/1/2024 is quashed. The petitioner shall produce the certificate from the revenue authorities to prove his possession. On such production, the respondent shall register the document within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
