ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate III, Pudhucherry to conclude the Trial in S.T.C.No.697 of 2022 and to dispose the same as expeditiously. 1/4

2. It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that, there is no progress made in this case, despite the fact that, it is pending from 19.08.2022 in S.T.C.No.697 of 2022. Even the summons to the accused is not served, necessitating the filing of this petition.

3. In response, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for Pudhucherry submitted that, steps will be taken for serving summons to the accused and to proceed further with the trial.

4. In view of the fact that, even summons were not served to the accused, the learned Judicial Magistrate III, Pudhucherry is directed to take appropriate steps for serving summons on the accused and dispose the case as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
