ORDER

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to direct the 2nd respondent to issue No Objection Certificate to the petitioner, enabling the petitioner to apply for the Direct Recruitment for the posts of Sub Inspector of Police (Taluk, Armed Reserve and Tamil Nadu Special Police) 2019 (Departmental Quota Candidates) forthwith based on the representation of the petitioner dated 14.03.2019.

The petitioner was not permitted to participate in the process of selection for Direct Recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police, in view of the pendency of the Revision Petition filed before the Revisional Authority against the order of punishment imposed by the Disciplinary Authority.

3. However, the petitioner will become eligible only if the punishments are cancelled, but not otherwise. More over, the selection of the year 2019 was concluded and the relief sought for in the present writ petition lost its relevance.

4. If any further notifications are issued and if the petitioner became eligible otherwise, he is at liberty to submit his application.

5. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
