Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the respondents to proceed with tender process without permitting the petitioner to participate in the bid process which is scheduled to be held on 07.08.2020 pursuant to the tender notification issued by the second respondent bearing Tender No.MAT/OT/010/2020, dated 26.05.2020 due on 01.07.2020 and subsequently extended to 31.07.2020 by the second respondent vide Lr.No.CMWSSB/MAT/PUR/OT-010-2020/Spl/2020, dated 24.07.2020 and further extended to 07.08.2020. ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this writ petition was filed to issue a writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents not to proceed further with the tender process without permitting the petitioner to participate in the tender, the petitioner was allowed to participate and he has also made his bid. The learned counsel further submitted that till date the Authority has not opened the tender cover submitted by the bidders.

2. Mr.Paneerselvam, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that all the tender covers have been opened in the presence of the bidders on 07.08.2020 and the petitioner was present at the time of opening the tender covers.

3. In view of the above development, no further orders can be passed in the present writ petition. Recording the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, this writ petition is closed. No cost. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
