This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2018.

2. Today, Mrs.A.Manjula, Inspector of Police, Valangaiman Circle is present before this Court.

learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the petitioner was levied penalty by the Revenue Authorities in connection with a mining case.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.02.2018 and pass orders.

5. In the opinion of this Court, a mandamus can be issued only when there is a statutory duty cast upon the authorities. In this case, there is no statutory duty cast upon the respondents to consider the representation and pass orders. Hence, this petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
