..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to carry out any sub-division or charges in the revenue records in respect of the property comprised in S.No.116/1, Vadapattinam Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District, till disposal of the suit in O.S.No.672 of 2023 on the file of Additional District Court, Chengalpattu, without considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2025.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to carry out any subdivision or changes in the revenue records in respect of the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2025.

2.The petitioner claims that there is a partition suit pending between the petitioner and the parties who had approached the 2nd respondent for the purpose of subdivision of the property. According to the petitioner, since a partition suit is pending, the official respondents are prohibited from considering any application for subdivision or for changes in the revenue records. The petitioner

had already stated his objections through his letter dated 19.12.2025 to the respondents, requesting them not to consider any application seeking for subdivision or changes in the revenue records for the subject property. 3.The petitioner apprehends before this Court that without considering the objections of the petitioner, the respondents may subdivide or change the revenue records of the property based on the request made by the third party, who is also a party to the partition suit.

4.Necessarily, the petitioner's objections will have to be considered by the official respondents before taking a decision as to whether the property can be subdivided or not and whether changes can be made to the revenue records for the subject property.

5.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent who is the competent authority to give due consideration to the objections raised by the petitioner through his letter dated 19.12.2025, as well as supporting documents produced by him, objecting to the subdivision of the property or changes in the revenue records requested by the third party, who is the party to the partition suit and only after giving due consideration to the

same, the 2nd respondent shall take a final decision as to whether the objections submitted by the petitioner can be entertained or not. In case the 2nd respondent decides to reject the petitioner's objections, necessarily, the 2nd respondent will have to pass a speaking order with regard to those objections, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
