PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records connected with C.P.Nos.399-499 of 2015 on the file of the 1st respondent, the Third Additional Labour Court, Chennai and quash the Common Order dated 26.12.2017 made therein.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of certiorari to quash the Award dated 26.12.2017 passed by the 1st respondent in C.P.Nos.399 to 499 of 2015 on the file of the 1st respondent, the III Additional Labour Court, Chennai.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of this writ

petition, the issue involved in this writ petition was settled out of Court by way of memorandum of settlement u/s. 18(1) of Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 dated 09.08.2018 and the same has been produced before this Court to that effect on 04.09.2023 (today).

3. Hence, the impugned Award dated 26.12.2017, passed by the III Additional Labour Court, Chennai in C.P.Nos.399 to 499 of 2015 is set aside in terms of the memorandum of settlement dated 09.08.2018 filed on behalf of the petitioner. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. The memorandum of settlement dated 09.08.2018 shall form part and parcel of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
